Your dance moves could be a Fortnite emote

Get down on it.

Have you got the moves like Jagger? Or are you more like an old man drunk at a wedding? And is there even a difference these days?

It doesn't matter, because Epic Games wants to see you strut your stuff anyway. The Fortnite developer is running a social media contest to find a dance worthy of becoming an emote in the world-conquering online game. To take part, you just need to film yourself throwing some shapes on the dancefloor and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the #boogiedown hashtag.

The only criteria are that your dance is unique, imaginative, original and captures the spirit of Fortnite.

The winner will have their dance appear in the game for all players to use, and will also receive a real life model of the game's Boogie Bomb, 10,000 V-Bucks to spend in-game and some disco-themed skins for your character and glider.

While only one person's shimmy will make it into the game, there are loads runner up prizes spread across various tiers. The four highest placed runners up will get the same prizes, minus the dance emote honor, while 95 others will get different amounts of V-Bucks and the disco costume items.

The contest runs until April 10, so break out the lycra, stretch those hamstrings and get to it.

Dan has been playing games since the 1980s, and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon. Also, get off his lawn. You can contact him by email if you need to know exactly how to leave his lawn.
