See The World Through Geralt's Eyes In This Witcher 3 Mod

Check out this awesome user-created mod that allows you to explore the world of Witcher 3 from a first-person perspective.

The Witcher 3, CD Projeckt Red’s most recent installment in their ever-popular Witcher franchise, is capable of providing players endless hours of entertainment as they take on the role of iconic Witcher, Geralt of Rivia. However, the game does this from a strictly third-person perspective, allowing you to follow Geralt’s adventures from directly behind him, rather than through his own eyes. While many fans have no qualms about playing The Witcher 3 from a third-person perspective, there are a few players out there who are itching to see the game from a more intimate, first-person perspective.

Enter skacikpl, a user who is hard at work developing a first-person mod for The Witcher 3. While the mod is still a work-in-progress with various bugs attached, such as combat and hopping a ride on your trusty companion Roach reverting you back to third-person, the overall premise and structure of this mod is impressive. The scenery in The Witcher 3 is absolutely beautiful, and when seen through the eyes of protagonist Geralt, it becomes all the more immersive (you can even look down and see Geralt's feet). To see this mod in action, check out skacipl's video tour of Novigrad in first-person!

Overall, whether you're stumbling around a bar, or meandering through the streets of Novigrad, this Witcher 3 mod is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, this mod isn't tailored for a VR experience just yet, but that doesn't mean it can't be expanded upon to include VR compatibility for the Oculus and HTC Vive later on down the road. Speaking of which, we'd love a Witcher title with VR support, CD Projeckt Red!
