Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator by developer Vile Monarch was inspired in part by Monty Python’s famous “Dead Parrot” sketch. Over the years, Monty Python has been a source of endless entertainment and hilarity. In addition, the verbal quips found in Monty Python all fit right in with Oh...Sir’s classy insults and phrases.
Because of this, we decided it would be fun to take a look back at some of our favorite Monty Python skits over the years to help us put together the best possible insults in Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator.
Dead Parrot
Starting this list off, we have the famous Dead Parrot sketch from Season 1 Episode 8 of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Yes, this is indeed the sketch that inspired developer Vile Monarch to create Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator. In one of the scenarios in Oh...Sir, players will have the opportunity to argue over whether or not this parrot is dead, or simply resting.
Argument Clinic
We find that this Monty Python skit is the epitome of Oh...Sir, as the game is equal parts argument clinic and insult simulator. We’d like to think we’ve mastered enough of the game to run a clinic of our own.
The Man Who Says Things in a Roundabout Way
Here, we have individuals who speak various parts of sentences. When working on our sentence structure and construction in Oh...Sir, we recalled this brilliant skit and thus remembered that we indeed have to be all of these individuals at once… indeed.
Spanish Inquisition
One of our personal favorites, and a source of endless inspiration when we’re piecing together insults in Oh...Sir. After every insult fired, we mentally think that our opponent certainly didn’t expect us to go there just as no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Ministry of Silly Walks
Not exactly an exchange of insulting dialogue and more a demonstration of impressively silly walks. However, you can bet we’d love to finish some of our insults in Oh...Sir with a silly walk around our opponent for good measure!
Spam
Finally, what Monty Python list would be complete without Spam? Fortunately, you won’t find any Spam in Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator, because if you did our quarrels would look like:
“Your mother likes Spam, your father likes Spam, your country likes Spam, your hat looks like Spam… Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam.”
We doubt we could earn enough points to knock out our opponent that way, but then again… we’d certainly annoy them to the point of forfeit. So there may be something to the Spam insult after all!
