2017 Hi-Rez Expo Sponsored by Twitch Prime

Both SMITE and Paladins will host eSports invitationals at the 2017 Hi-Rez Expo.

It was recently announced that Twitch Prime would be sponsoring the upcoming 2017 Hi-Rez Expo (HRX). Next year, both SMITE and Paladins will host eSports invitationals with large cash prizes for the victors. In fact, the 2017 Hi-Rez Expo marks the very first HRX Invitational for Paladins.

For its first offering, the HRX Paladins Invitational is boasting a sizeable $150,000 prize pool. For players interested in SMITE's competitive scene, there will be a $1-million prize pool. In addition, to the top Xbox teams will have the ability to compete for a $150,000 prize pool in the inaugural SMITE Xbox World Championship.

The 2017 SMITE World Championship will take place at the Hi-Rez Expo.

Regarding the Twitch sponsorship, Todd Harris (Chief Operating Executive of Hi-Rez) had this to say:

“We have a long history of working with Twitch to enhance our player experience both in-game and out of game. This will be our first year combining two of our major tournaments into one event, and we couldn't think of a better partner to help us bring Hi-Rez Expo to fans, gamers, and eSports enthusiasts across the world.”

Hi-Rez had previously worked with Twitch Prime to offer players the exclusive Twitch Boss Ymir skin in SMITE and the Twitch Bomb King Weapon skin in Paladins. This year’s HRX Expo will be no exception, as a variety of Twitch Prime exclusive content is rumored to be announced within the next few weeks. The 2017 Hi-Rez Expo opens on January 5th and concludes on January 8th.
