Where to Pre-Order the Nintendo Switch

Brush up on where you can pre-order the Nintendo Switch this Friday.

Before tomorrow morning’s Treehouse Event, Nintendo posted an update informing prospective buyers that the Nintendo Switch will be available for pre-order in limited quantities.

What this means is that the moment the console becomes available for pre-order, interested parties should jump at the opportunity. Take the mini NES Classic Edition for example. Console exclusivity can be rough, potentially leaving you empty-handed if you’re not quick to the jump.

To help get you ahead of the game, we’ve scoured the internet for all of the websites where you can pre-order the Nintendo Switch this Friday. We will continue to update this page as new information becomes available.

United States

Nintendo

The first, and most obvious, location to pre-order the Nintendo Switch is over on the official Nintendo website. Nintendo announced on Twitter that pre-orders will start Friday, January 13th at 9 a.m. EST. Nintendo also warned that there are limited quantities available for pre-order.

If you live in NYC, the Nintendo Store will be taking pre-orders at their brick and mortar locations. Be sure to keep at least one browser tab open to the Nintendo Switch page during tomorrow morning’s Treehouse preview event, which is scheduled to take place at 6:30 a.m. PST or 9:30 a.m. EST.

GameStop

One retailer who already has a page up and ready is GameStop. If you’re looking to pre-order the console through GameStop, you can do so by following this link and refreshing the page until the product becomes available.

Best Buy

A hot store to keep an eye on for Nintendo Switch pre-orders is Best Buy. If Best Buy is your retailer of choice, head on over to the Nintendo Switch page, as pre-orders became available Thursday night/Friday morning around 1 a.m. EST. Be quick, though, as Best Buy pre-orders tend to sell out quickly.

Walmart

Pre-ordering consoles, especially ones as in-demand as the Nintendo Switch, through Walmart is always tricky business. However, the retailer currently has a Nintendo Switch page up which you can check in on at your discretion.

Amazon

Another good place to look if you’re aiming to pre-order the Nintendo Switch is over on Amazon. Double-checking the Amazon page if other retailers have already sold out is typically a good idea.

Target

Target is another retailer to keep on your radar when hunting down the Nintendo Switch. If Target is your store of choice, here’s a link to their Nintendo Switch page.

United Kingdom

Amazon

The Amazon link for the United Kingdom can be found here which essentially includes a drop-down menu of the Nintendo Switch and other Switch-related items such as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

GAME

GAME has the Nintendo Switch pre-order page up and are currently offering free UK shipping.

Gameseek

Gameseek also has their Nintendo Switch pre-order page up and running.

GameStop

For the UK, GameStop also has the Nintendo Switch pre-order page up!

Argos

If Argos is your retailer of choice, head over to their Nintendo Switch page to register interest.

Be sure to tune in to the Nintendo Treehouse Event tomorrow morning at 6:30 a.m. PST or 9:30 a.m. EST as well as recap all of the important information delivered during the Nintendo Switch Presentation Thursday night. The Twitch video for the presentation is embedded down below.

At the moment, these are all of the locations where you can pre-order the Nintendo Switch.
