Bluehole "in talks with Sony" about PUBG

Battlegrounds heading to PS4 one day?

Microsoft looked to have pulled off a real coup when it announced an Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds would be released this year, but according to a new profile of PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene, Sony is also in talks with the game's developer.

There's no official comment from any of the parties concerned about the potential hookup in Bloomberg's profile piece, but the author reported that Bluehole boss Chang Byung-gyu said "his company has had talks with all of the major console companies about bringing PUBG to a broader audience.

"Microsoft Corp. will launch the title exclusively on Xbox later this year. Bluehole is in talks with Sony about introducing a version for the PlayStation after that."

Read into that what you will. For now, the only console definitely in line to receive Battlegrounds is Xbox One, although the game is obviously already available - and has been purchased by more than 13 million people - on PC platform Steam.
