Yooka-Laylee: All 10 Treasure Chests in Shipwreck Creek
Get a head start in your hunt for Quills.
In Yooka-Laylee, there are five different hidden Pirate Treasure skulls located within each world. To grab these elusive little items, you’ll need to first unlock the Flappy Flight move from Trowzer. If you’re wondering why you should collect Pirate Treasure, aside from being a completionist, these items will help unlock three different Achievements, and a Tonic from Vendi.
But where can you find them? Well, we’ve put together a guide with all five Pirate Treasure locations in Yooka-Laylee!
Tribalstack Tropics
You’ll find the first Pirate Treasure in Yooka-Laylee near the back of Rampo's Castle in Tribalstack Tropics. Here, you’ll find the Pirate Treasure within a hole in the side of the wall.
To collect the Pirate Treasure, you’ll either need to learn the Flappy Flight move, or drop in from one of the ledges. We did the latter, though in hindsight using Flappy Flight would’ve been the better option!
Glitterglaze Glacier
The next Pirate Treasure in Yooka-Laylee is hidden within the Gloomy Gem Grotto. To grab this Pirate Treasure you’ll need to find Trowzer, dive into the water, and then swim to the right.
Make your way through the obstacle course until you come across a strange orange monster. There, you’ll find the Pirate Treasure above the orange monster atop a rock.
Moodymaze Marsh
The third Pirate Treasure in Yooka-Laylee is conveniently at the beginning of the Moodymaze Marsh level and can be found after swimming through the second tunnel.
Once you emerge from the tunnel, look to your right and you’ll spot a building. Head to the building and climb it, or use Flappy Flight. Near the top, you’ll find the Pirate Treasure inside the left smokestack.
Capital Cashino
The Pirate Treasure in Yooka-Laylee’s Capital Cashino is actually available at the beginning of the level. After entering Capital Cashino, spin around and look up above you.
There, you’ll see the Pirate Treasure skull floating above a lamp. To grab it, you can either use Dr. Puzz’s Mollycool transformation or Flappy Flight to collect it.
Galleon Galaxy
Last but not least, the Pirate Treasure in Yooka-Laylee’s Galleon Galaxy level can be grabbed once you’ve expanded the Grand Tome. After doing this, head on over to the pink moon and go inside the Velocity Terminal.
Rather than using the slide, however, use your Flappy Flight move to propel yourself into the sky. Upon doing so, you’ll spot the Pirate Treasure lurking above one of the small globes at your right.
Pirate Treasure can be a hard item to find in Yooka-Laylee if you don’t know where to look. Especially if you don’t make use of your Flappy Flight move to reach those sneaky hidden areas.
Fortunately, by reading this guide, you should know exactly where to look in order to find each Pirate Treasure in Yooka-Laylee!
