In Snake Pass, one of the hardest collectibles to find are known as “Gatekeeper Coins.” These Gatekeeper Coins can be found hidden away in each and every Snake Pass map.
The process of finding and collecting all five Gatekeeper Coins in the fifth level of Snake Pass, “Crooked Canal,” can be quite a challenge if you don’t know where to look.
To help, we’ve put together a quick guide on where you can find all five Gatekeeper Coins in the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass!
Gatekeeper Coin #1
The first Gatekeeper Coin in the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass can be found right behind where you spawn. To locate the first Gatekeeper Coin, simply turn around and look down over the edge.
There, you’ll see the first Gatekeeper Coin floating below a narrow bamboo pole. To collect it, try to use the extension of the wall seen in the image above (on the left side) when sliding down. This will help give you more leverage when coiling around the pole.
Gatekeeper Coin #2
The second Gatekeeper Coin in the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass is cleverly hidden outside the first flooded room you enter. In the room with the lever and Yellow Keystone, slither out one of the square holes and look over to the edge.
There, you’ll see the second Gatekeeper Coin hidden atop a narrow ledge. Slither over the ledge to collect the Gatekeeper Coin, then poke Noodle's head back through one of the square holes to continue on your way.

The third Gatekeeper Coin in the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass is located near the save point just past the large boulder you pushed.
After activating the checkpoint, head over to the bamboo structure and look down over the edge. There, you’ll find the third Gatekeeper Coin below the last bamboo rung.
Gatekeeper Coin #4
The fourth Gatekeeper Coin in the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass is quite tricky to collect. To find it, you’ll first need to collect the Pink Keystone atop the tallest point of the map.
Next, look down over the edge facing the far point of the map. You’ll see a series of bamboo structures trailing their way down over the side. We suggest activating a checkpoint before slithering down and collecting the fourth Gatekeeper Coin.
Gatekeeper Coin #5
The fifth Gatekeeper Coin in the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass can be found beneath the bridge you cross as you head toward the Gate.
To collect it, simply poke your head down through the square openings, snatch the coin, then use the bamboo ladder to snake your way back up and over to the Gate.
Once you head through the Gate, a progress screen will appear. If you managed to collect all five Gatekeeper Coins, you’ll see all five Coin spots filled for the Crooked Canal level of Snake Pass.
