The amount of energy needed to converse with an NPC will vary depending on your current amity score. It will typically cost you two energy points to begin conversing with an NPC.
Keep in mind that the higher your amity score gets, the more energy it costs to begin a conversation. Earning energy in Black Desert Online is fairly simple. To earn energy, you’ll need to complete quests and explore the world around you. In doing so, you’ll earn around 10 energy an hour give or take.
Another thing needed to start a conversation, and thus increase your amity score in Black Desert Online, is knowledge. There are various types of knowledge in Black Desert Online, all of which can be earned by completing quests. For the second level, check the top of the screen to see the conversation requirement. Every time you enter into a new conversation with an NPC, this requirement will change. If the NPC offers the “Talk Freely” option, take the next round into consideration in order to succeed. In this particular instance, you should aim for knowledge with a Sparking Interest higher than the NPC’s Interest Level.
Level 3: Combos
For the third and final level, if you have enough knowledge with the right level of Sparking Interest, you can begin placing it on the zodiac.
