If you recently picked up Agents of Mayhem, you may find yourself wondering how to unlock new agents to try out. Volition’s new Saints Row spin-off title Agents of Mayhem allows you to take command of a variety of different playable agents, each with their own unique weapons, abilities, and personalities.
However, you may notice upon first booting the game up that you initially only have access to three of the game’s roster of twelve total agents. If you want to unlock the remaining nine agents in Agents of Mayhem, this guide will steer you in the right direction.
Agents of Mayhem - How to Unlock New Agents
You won’t be able to go out and unlock new agents right off the bat as you’ll have to complete a few early story missions first. Eventually, you’ll be given a mission where you can unlock your first new agent, Rama. Proceeding through the story campaign will also eventually open up additional agent unlock missions, so if you want to recruit the whole gang, all you really have to do is play through the game.
As for the agent unlock missions themselves, they follow a pretty standard routine. You get to play as the agent you’re unlocking during the mission itself, and as you proceed through the mission you get to learn more about the agent’s personality and background. This setup, while not the most dynamic, does help you become familiar with the agent in question as you work towards unlocking them.
This is a practice which segues nicely if you ever choose to take that agent out into the field after unlocking them. If you ever want to change up your team of active agents, you can do so from the Ark by picking the three agents you want to use and the outfits you want them to wear (yep, each agent also has multiple outfits you can unlock).
