Nioh: Complete Edition Coming to PC in November

Nioh will launch on Steam next month with all three expansions and a 4K mode.

Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo have announced that their brutal samurai action RPG Nioh will be making its PC debut on Steam next month as Nioh: Complete Edition. The CE bundle will include the base game as well as three DLC expansions with additional chapters: Dragon of the North, Defiant Honor, and Bloodshed’s End.

Unlike the PlayStation 4 version of Nioh, all seven weapon types, ninjutsu, and onmyo magic abilities will be available right from the start in Nioh: Complete Edition. The upcoming PC version of Nioh will also feature two new enhanced graphical modes that optimize the game’s visual resolution and frame rate. Action Mode will help run the game at a steady 60 fps frame rate, while Movie Mode will offer a cinematic option that optimizes Nioh for 4K display resolutions.

The Dharmachakra Kabuto helmet is an exclusive item commemorating Nioh's launch on Steam.

To commemorate Nioh’s PC release, Koei Tecmo is offering players an exclusive in-game item called the Dharmachakra Kabuto helmet.  “The Wheel of Dharma kabuto is a form of "kawari-kabuto"a family of helmets featuring fantastical designs. This helmet features a red-lacquered front crest of an ancient Buddhist symbol depicting the eightfold path to nirvana,” says Koei Tecmo’s announcement.

"However, some claim this is not a Wheel of Dharma at all, merely a replica that looks as though it belongs on a device to regulate steam… Some have gone so far as to suggest renaming it to "Valve Kabuto," but why anyone would make a helmet featuring a valve is unclear…"

“Team NINJA is well aware of the fact that many gamers have been passionately asking for a PC version of Nioh,” says Nioh’s creative director, Fumihiko Yasuda. “I am thrilled to announce that this massocore game will finally be available for our die-hard PC fans in Nioh: Complete Edition! I hope you all enjoy the unforgettable drama and deeply challenging Yokai battles this action-packed experience has to offer.”

Nioh: Complete Edition will launch on Steam for Windows PC on November 7. No price has been announced, but players who are interested in Nioh: Complete Edition can add the bundle to their wishlist on Steam for future reference.
