The Best Gaming Mice of 2017

Make your holiday shopping easier with our list of the best gaming mice.

When shopping for others during the holiday season, it can often be tricky picking out the very best items. One example of this centers around gaming mice. Each year, new gaming mice are introduced while existing gaming mice are given slight upgrades.

The type of gaming mouse you purchase varies based on need. Are you looking for a mouse with high DPI, or something slim that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand? Additionally, what price range are you looking to stay within?

Once you’ve answered these questions, the hunt begins. To help make things easier, we’ve put together a list featuring some of the best gaming mice of 2017!

Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum

The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum is a favorite for many gamers. This stems from its reasonable price point and generous features offered including 12,000 DPI, handsome “Spectrum” lighting effects, and 11 programmable buttons.

The only potential drawback is that the Proteus Spectrum can feel awkward in certain hands due to its sharper points and overall length. Fortunately, the benefits far outweigh the possibility of having to adjust to the mouse’s design.

Razer DeathAdder Elite (Editor’s Choice)

The Razer DeathAdder Elite is a great gaming mouse for those who prefer to keep their peripherals simple. This one is our mouse of choice, as we’ve used both the standard DeathAdder and DeathAdder Elite with fantastic results.

The mouse is great for most games. However, you won’t find a large, mappable button layout on the side. This means that hardcore MMORPG gamers may want to consider other options.

For everyone else, the DeathAdder Elite is fairly priced, and comes with features including a 16,000 DPI optical sensor, fun mechanical switches, and pretty chroma lighting.

Redragon M601 (Best on a Budget)

While the Redragon M601 certainly won’t win any awards for its technical specs (at least on this list of heavyweights), it is one of the best gaming mice for people on a limited budget. On average, the Redragon M601 sells for around $12, making it superbly affordable.

Additionally, its simplicity makes it great for younger PC gamers, and those looking to take an inexpensive mouse with them on their travels. We’ve tested this mouse out ourselves, and were surprised at just how solid it is for the price.

It’s not exactly powerful at only 3,600 DPI, but it does come with 5 programmable buttons and a well-built wired cable. Furthermore, the exterior has a nice textured finish, which makes it perfect for intense gamers who build up a little extra hand sweat while playing their favorite games like PUBG.

Corsair M65 Pro RGB

The Corsair M65 Pro RGB is comparable to other gaming mice on this list. However, its design and aesthetic make it ideal for gamers with larger hands. It’s fairly priced, and comes with solid features including a 12,000 DPI sensor and an advanced weight tuning system.

Those who own it tout its durability and ease of setup, which earn it a spot as a decent gift option. When you get right down to it, the gaming mouse you choose largely depends on personal preference. With so many gamers gravitating to this mouse, you really can’t go wrong with the M65.
