Intrepid Studios has just unveiled the latest pre-alpha preview trailer for their upcoming MMORPG, Ashes of Creation. The trailer gives fans their first look at the UnderRealm, a gorgeous underground setting filled with vivid, glowing flora and bioluminescent creatures. Ashes of Creation is an upcoming MMORPG that takes place in a medieval fantasy setting. The game combines traditional MMO elements with new sandbox concepts, making for an ever-evolving world that’s full of surprises.
Unlike many games in the MMO genre, the quests in Ashes of Creation are greatly impacted by player choice. In Ashes of Creation, your decisions have consequences, which can lead to quests opening and closing as a result.
“MMOs typically have a static world, the tree you just saw is always there and this type of monster is always right here. We don’t want that, a reactive world doesn’t work that way,” says the Ashes of Creation’s Creative Director, Steven Sharif. “Each server in Ashes of Creation will be unique, because each server will grow, mature, and change on its own based on how its players interact with one another.”
