HypeZone Fortnite Channel Launches on Mixer

HypeZone Fortnite hosts streamers during their most intense moments in Battle Royale.

On February 7th, Microsoft’s game-focused live streaming service Mixer, expanded HypeZone to include a channel dedicated to Fortnite Battle Royale. HypeZone Fortnite is live 24/7 and showcases the best nail-biting gameplay moments in Fortnite from a variety of streamers.

The first Mixer HypeZone channel was for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which naturally garnered over a million views in just two short months. Given the growing popularity Fortnite, it should also come as no surprise that HypeZone expanded to include it. Whether or not it will reach similar viewing numbers in a couple of months remains to be seen.

For those who do not know, HypeZone is a lot like Twitch. However, it only streams the intense moments of a streamer’s gameplay. It eliminates the downtime endemic to a lot of streams. For example, if a streamer is playing Fortnite Battle Royale and the match is down to the last ten or so players, HypeZone will prioritize hosting that streamer if they are close to winning. Once the streamer either dies in the game or pulls off a Victory Royale, HypeZone will automatically prioritize another streamer to host, allowing viewers to constantly discover new streamers while getting to watch a steady flow of intense Battle Royale gameplay.

Fortnite has a player base of over 45 million people and given the less serious, more light-hearted, fun aspects of the game, we don’t doubt the HypeZone Fortnite channel will garner plenty of dedicated viewers in no time.
