WARTILE Has Left Early Access on Steam

This board game-inspired Viking RPG is available now on PC.

The board game-inspired strategy RPG WARTILE has left Steam’s Early Access program and is available now on PC. WARTILE is a PC tabletop game in which you control digital miniature Viking figures on a digital board. Developed by Danish studio Playwood Project, the game has been in early access for a year, gathering player feedback through extensive testing.

In WARTILE, you play as Vikings fighting for glory in Valhalla. Combat and general adventuring take place on a tile-based grid and consists of plenty of tactical mechanics for lovers of strategy.

Some mechanics should feel familiar to those who play games of this sort. For example, you have a tactical advantage if you have the high ground. Positioning is key. The triumphant will be those who utilize all of their abilities, manage their cooldowns efficiently, and pay attention to their surroundings.

To make things even better, one need not engage in this PC board game alone. You are welcome to, though, by all means. Like real board games, the game is multiplayer, adding layers of strategy and enjoyment to a Norse-inspired narrative full of hours of gameplay.

Developed alongside community input, WARTILE has been officially released to positive initial reviews. Players who purchase the game on Steam anytime between now and February 15th will receive a 25% discount.
