Nintendo Adds New Review Feature for Switch Games

The Nintendo website will now allow users to leave reviews of Switch games.

Following the launch of a new update, Nintendo’s website will now give gamers the ability to leave unique customer reviews on a variety of Switch games. The latest review feature on Nintendo’s website differs from how reviews work on other sites such as Amazon or Best Buy.

This is seen through features such as the ability to tag games with a variety of terms related to how easy the game is to play, whether or not the game offers decent value, and if it’s kid friendly. Additionally, you can also flag a review if it contains in-game spoilers.

To leave a review on a Nintendo Switch game, you’ll need to scroll to the bottom of that game’s page and locate a section entitled “Customer Reviews.” Note that you’ll need to be logged into your Nintendo Account in order to leave a review.

It’s definitely nice that Nintendo is giving its customers the ability to review Switch games, and thus advice other Switch owners what’s worth it and what’s not.

The Switch reviews are the first real instance of Nintendo enabling reviews, with the only comparable feature being the ability to allow game recommendations for Wii titles.

Due to the newness of this feature, those looking for guidance on which titles they should purchase for the Switch will have to wait a while until the site fills up with reviews.

If you want to contribute to the cause, you can click here to head to the company’s game guide section and learn how to begin leaving custom reviews. Additionally, we recently uploaded this week’s New on Nintendo Switch which will help get you up-to-speed on every Switch game that released to the eShop this week.

What do you think of the new review feature for Nintendo Switch titles? Have you attempted to leave a review yet? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below!
