GWENT Arena Mode is Out Now with a New Trailer

Sell your soul to Gaunter O'Dimm in GWENT's new Arena Mode.

CD Projekt Red, creators of the beloved Witcher series game, is doing what they do best: raising the bar and our expectations of what games can be. They showed the world what an open world can achieve in the realm of storytelling, and now they are set on showing the world what free-to-play card games can achieve in a similar domain. In their free-to-play card game, GWENT, CD Projekt Red has announced the addition of a new gamemode: Arena.

Arena will abide by a different set of rules than other game modes. Players can add cards from different factions into their deck and also use more copies of certain card types. You have won when you win nine games or lose three.

Arena can be accessed using Mirror Shards, a new ticket currency that is obtained by using real money or the standard in-game currency in GWENT. Mirror Shards harken to the devil-like character from the Hearts of Stone DLC for the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Gaunter O’Dimm, who resides in a realm he transports you to using said Mirror Shards. Arena mode is where O’Dimm offers you a contract to fight for your deepest, darkest desires. All you have to do is sign your soul..I mean, name...on the dotted line.

The new Arena game mode is available now in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. Head over to the official GWENT website to try your hand at the new Arena mode.
