Fortnite's meteor storm has finally begun

This is not a drill.

The sky is finally falling in Fortnite! Those meteors that have been slooooowly streaking towards Tilted Towers have begun to hit the ground, with fans quick to upload the first footage to YouTube.

What we don't yet know is what effect this will have on gameplay, or what it's all leading up to. Will the controversial Tilted Towers be wiped clean? Are fan theories about alien invaders going to be proven correct? We suspect the answer will come on April 30, when the game's Season 3 comes to an end.

Epic has already begun teasing Season 4, and the graphic chosen seems to feature a meteor-style motif and what looks like...a superhero?

You've got to hand it to Epic - no sooner has one mystery begun to unravel, but another one pops up in its place. For now, all we can do is keep playing - and keep watching the skies.
