Destiny 2's summer of content looks spectacular

Try "experimental" PVP modes in Crucible Labs.

Destiny 2's Warmind expansion has just dropped, to great acclaim, and the next big update isn't due until September. Don't think that means Bungie is going to be taking it easy until then. The developer just dropped a content roadmap for the summer, and it features some pretty cool additions.

May 29 brings as-yet-undetailed changes to Faction Rallies but more excitingly it'll see the launch of Crucible Labs. This will be a "a new feature intended to give you a peek behind the scenes and a louder voice in our creative process". In other words, Bungie can try out "experimental" PVP modes, so you'll be able to take part in trials for potential new multiplayer modes and rulesets and maybe help shape the future evolution of the game. July will bring a new event, Solstice of Heroes, "where Guardians will celebrate their accomplishments and, of course, earn sweet new rewards".

That will bring Season 3 of Destiny 2's first year to a close, and lead into September when the first big content drop of Year 2 will begin. Much requested features such as weapon randomization and changes to gear and weapon slots will be part of that process.

Lots to look forward to, then, but for now why not head into our Guides section for a veritable buffet of Warmind features to make sure you're getting the most out of the latest DLC.
