Dead or Alive 6 coming in 2019

Fans can expect graphical upgrades along with the addition of new characters.

A brand new entry in the Dead or Alive series was recently announced by Koei Tecmo and Bandai Namco. Later confirmed by IGN, Dead or Alive 6 is officially scheduled to release in 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The fighting game will reportedly utilize a brand new game engine with updated 4K visuals an an intense focus on realism. For example, realistic sweat effects and injuries will appear on characters as they fight.

Some characters returning in Dead or Alive 6 include Hayate, Kasumi, Helena, Ryu Hayabusa, Zack, and Jann Lee. While the full character roster has yet to be revealed, it’s possible more details will be released at E3 2018 and beyond. Addressing the Dead or Alive 6 lineup, producer Toei Shimbor confirmed that players can expect a mix of returning favorites in addition to new, never-before-seen characters.

Not only will new characters be on display, but new attacks are also coming to Dead or Alive 6. Not much is known about the gameplay, but a new combo and special attack system called Fatal Rush and Break Gauge were teased. Apparently, Dead or Alive 6 will have a plethora of powerful combos and rushes to choose from that’ll help even the worst fighting game players enjoy the game.
