Improve Your Map Playstyle As a Community Effort

Users reach out on Reddit for tips on how to improve on specific maps

In World of Tanks, your tank is obviously your main tool of destruction. You do everything with your tank from upgrading it, detailing it, running repairs and restocking ammunition. But one aspect that can easily be overlooked are the maps. Maps are where you take your tank to fight, to show how good you are at what you do, but if you don’t know how to work a map then you might as well wave goodbye to those hard earned skills.

Luckily there’s a whole World of Tanks community over on Reddit, with one such user who goes by the fitting name of iLoveWorldOfTanks, who puts forward the question: How do I improve on Westfield? This is a question new and old players alike ask themselves over the course of their tanking career, though maybe not specifically Westfield but other maps in the rotation. iLoveWorldOfTanks goes on to include an image in the article that highlights the key places on the map they believe to be of benefit to their Object 140 tank and playstyle.

The community has been swift to offer their own advice, with the majority of responses pointing out Position 1 (as indicated on the map) as the best choice for the original poster’s playstyle. At Position 1, you have the opportunity to win the top while giving yourself the option to move to Position 2 if your attention is required there. Other users have pointed out that the terrain at B3 is quite flat, allowing for only the turret to be exposed, as opposed to the entire hull.

As always, Reddit is an excellent source of guidance for all forms of World of Tanks players, whether you’re just starting or if you’ve got several Tier 10 tanks at your disposal. One thing is for sure, no matter where you are in your career, there will always be room for improvement.
