German Medium Tank Line
The German Medium tank lines are some of the best, and most complicated Medium tank lines in all of World of Tanks, but they offer some of the best tanking experiences.
There is one pure Medium tank line in the German tech tree, with two other hybrid-Medium lines. The pure Medium tank line starts at Tier 4 with the Pz III J and ends with the E 50 M. The first hybrid line begins at Tier 3 with the Panzer IV A (and then the D and H versions) before becoming a Heavy line. And finally, the Panzer III E into the Heavy D.W.2 and VK 30.01 H, and back down into the Medium VK 30.02 M.
So let’s start with the pure German Medium tank line. The Panzer III J, being a Tier 4 tank, is going to be in the middle of some tough situations, especially given its armor values. In saying this, the Pz III J is a fast little tank with great penetration when using APCR rounds, while also retaining accuracy despite its fast rate of fire.
If you make it past this and into Tier 5, the Pz. III/IV is an answer to a prayer as it comes with notably better armor. Its high speeds can still be relied upon to get into position early and even fire with some degree of accuracy while moving.
At Tier 8, the Indien-Panzer is a hard-hitting Medium that boasts impressive alpha damage and penetration values for its AP rounds. Take advantage of its thinly-shaped turret and gun depression to get the jump on enemy vehicles.
Finally, capping off the pure Medium line is the Leopard 1, the thinking-man’s Tier 10 Medium. This Medium tank is an excellent passive scout and sniper, while also touting excellent speed and mobility. With a View Range of 410m, the Leopard 1 can shatter an enemy’s early-game plans. As always, you can purchase equipment to make the tank even better.
The German Medium tank lines are now known for their ability to scout just as well, if not better than, Light tanks. With excellent accuracy, and some competitive armor, these Mediums will be able to brawl with the best or simply snipe from a distance with ease.
