World of Tanks is Getting Three Platoon-Based Tournaments

Grab some buddies and get ready to win up to 600 gold!

Wargaming has announced a new series of upcoming World of Tanks tournaments which will focus on small-scale skirmishes between platoons of players.

If this sounds like something you’d want to participate in, be sure to act fast because the first platoon tournament (or “platournament” as Wargaming is calling them) is set to begin very soon.

There will be three platournaments in total, one on January 31st, one on February 2nd, and the last one on February 4th. Players can either register solo and be matched up with other solo players, or as a full three-person platoon (plus one extra player as a reserve).

Each platournament will take place on a different map and all three tournaments will allow players to use any tier IV-VII tank. The prize scale for all three tournaments is as follows:

  • 1st Place – 600 Gold
  • 2nd Place – 450 Gold
  • 3rd Place – 300 Gold
  • 4th Place – 150 Gold
  • 5th Place – 100 Gold

If you want to register for the tournaments, you can do so for the January 31st tournament here, the February 2nd tournament here, and the February 4th tournament here.
