Win up to 5,000 Gold in Upcoming World of Tanks 5v5 Tournament

This Throwdown tournament will focus on Tier VII tanks.

Wargaming is gearing up for a weeklong World of Tanks tournament where teams of five can see how well they stack up against their peers, with the opportunity to win up to 5,000 in-game gold in return.

The 5v5 Throwdown tournament will be held from February 13th to February 17th. The map featured in the tournament will be El Halluf, and participants can use any Tier IV to Tier VII vehicle they prefer. Although the maximum Tier number that is allowed per team is 33, which means some team members will have to use a vehicle that’s lower than Tier VII.

The first day of the tournament will consist of a massive group stage series of battles, the results of which will place teams in either the upper or lower playoffs (both of which will be held during the rest of the tournament).

The following prize scales will be used for the upper and lower playoffs, and Wargaming notes that additional prize categories could be added depending on how many teams enter:

Upper Playoff

  • 1st Place – 5,000 Gold
  • 2nd Place – 4,000 Gold

  • 5th-8th Place – 2,000 Gold
