The Type 59
Removed from the in-game store on January 16th, 2012, and typically only rewarded to winners of official competitions and tournaments, the Type 59 is currently one of the game's rarest tanks. In addition to its limited availability, many players want the Type 59 brought back due to its reputation as one of the best Premium tanks in World of Tanks.
The Type 59 was once a popular choice in World of Tanks due to its solid frontal turret armor, which was ideal for taking a hull down position. Unfortunately, this Tier 8 Chinese medium tank became so popular that it actually wound up limiting the diversity of battles. Although this resulted in its eventual removal from World of Tanks, many players feel Wargaming should give the Type 59 a second chance.
