UK preorders for the Xbox One X have run aground as Amazon UK suffers delays.
While users may had pre-ordered months in advance, messages have been supplied today that shipments have been delayed, with Amazon UK citing “stock issues”.
Many users have (expectedly) taken to Twitter to vent their frustration as they struggle for information regarding why their preorder was delayed, or for how long.
@amazon if I spend £450 on a new xbox one X. Why can't you get it to me on the release date?

Very disappointed.
This is especially unfortunate news for those who may have booked time off to try out the new console, only to find it delayed until tomorrow or worse. Some users have even reported being told to cancel their orders and purchase from alternate suppliers.
They told me that I can only receive a standard edition now, and I need to cancel mine and buy it from a reseller for an inflated price. pic.twitter.com/ZyGwhvtvCk

Not a good look for one of the largest suppliers out there, nor helpful for Microsoft during and important moment for their new release. Some users have reported successful deliveries, so hopefully those left waiting will have their orders fulfilled before long.
