IS-7
If you’re looking for a high-tier Heavy tank to go hull down with in World of Tanks, look no further than the IS-7. The IS-7 is a Tier 10 Soviet Heavy tank that can withstand a good pummeling if positioned correctly.
One of the first things you will likely notice about the IS-7 is its rounded turret. The turret armor on the IS-7 is not quite as substantial as the tanks mentioned earlier, but its curvature makes all the difference. The IS-7’s pike-nosed frontal hull armor and sloped turret help this tank to deflect shots when hit head-on.
Keep the lower glacis plate protected while hull down, and you should be able to block a significant amount of damage. The spaced armor on the side of the hull on the IS-7 is particularly good when angled properly, so be sure to side-scrape with the IS-7 when possible if going hull down isn’t feasible during battle.
