Best Tanks to Go Hull Down with in World of Tanks

The best tanks to use when going hull down in World of Tanks.

ST-I

Another one of the best tanks to use in a hull-down position is the Soviet Union’s ST-I. This Tier 9 heavy tank is a step up in protection from its predecessor, the KV-4.

As a rule of thumb, if you see an ST-I hull-down in front of you, instead of trying to dig out a hull-down tank, simply find another route, because this tank might as well be an old oak tree with a deep root system, you’re never going to dig it out.

The ST-I boasts impressive armor all around, with the front and sides of the turret coming in at 170mm, with even the rear of the turret boasting an impressive 160mm of defence. The hull isn’t far behind, with 140mm for the front and sides with 100 for the rear.

The ST-I has impressive armor all over, with its frontal turret armor being extremely strong.

The armor is also well-rounded and highly angled, even the tracks are well protected. If you plan to use the ST-I to go hull-down, you will need to be aware of its stock gun and sluggish speeds. Plan your routes effectively, because once in position, you will want to avoid long drives to reposition.
