World of Tanks Grand Finals Esports Tournament Begins in May

Prepare for six days of intense eSports action.

As the 2017 competitive year for World of Tanks winds down, anticipation has started to build for this year’s Grand Finals tournament. Recently, Wargaming announced when exactly the best of the best will face off for the privilege of being crowned the 2017 World of Tanks eSports champions.

According to a press release from Wargaming, the 2017 World of Tanks Grand Finals tournament will be held in Moscow, Russia from May 23rd to May 28th. All qualifying teams will start by participating in a massive group stage tournament which takes place on May 23rd and May 24th.

After the group stage is over, the eight remaining teams will then participate in a series of semi-final and quarter-final matches on May 25th and May 26th. Finally, last teams standing will transition into the Grand Finals that span both May 27th and May 28th.

The Moscow Grand Finals will have a prize pool of $300,000 up for grabs, so you know that all competing teams will bring their A-game. For those who plan to attend the Grand Finals in person, the tournament will be free and open to the public.

However, fans can purchase an optional Grand Pack bundle to enhance their experience (Wargaming plans to reveal more details about the Grand Pack bundle closer to the tournament’s start date). If you can’t attend in person, all of the Grand Finals tournament action will also be broadcasted live via Wargaming’s Twitch channel.
