Upcoming Battlefield 1 Map is Exclusive to Premium Players

The Nivelle Nights map will arrive sometime in June.

Battlefield 1 players who invest in the game’s Premium service already get a decent amount of bang for their $49.99 buck. Namely free access to the game’s four DLC expansions, bonus battlepacks, and other perks. However, developer DICE has now announced yet another freebie which will only be available to Battlefield 1 Premium players... a new map that’s releasing later this summer.

The map is titled “Nivelle Nights” and—as DICE notes on the Battlefield website—it will be a unique battleground set within Chemin des Dames, France in 1917.

“As darkness falls over the muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupir, French and German batteries prepare to yet again support their troops on the contested ground. The moon, the searchlights, and the artillery lights up the night skies, exposing the vast network of trenches. Bite and hold as your foe will fight for every inch of ground. Strategy and teamwork will overcome those who have neither.”

Niville Nights won’t be tied to any larger expansion, but it will only be available to those who bought their way into Battlefield 1’s Premium program. A specific release date for the new map has yet to be confirmed, though DICE has stated that the map will arrive sometime in June.
