6 Best Maps in World of Tanks

Six of the greatest maps currently available in World of Tanks.

Himmelsdorf

Finally, rounding off our list of six best maps in World of Tanks is trusty old Himmelsdorf. Whether you’re playing on the standard version or Winter Himmelsdorf, you’re going to have a fairly similar experience—but do you prefer one over the other?

Part of the appeal of Himmelsdorf is the ability for all tank types to duke it out in their respective areas. Heavy tanks can side-scrape along the corridors, while Light tanks can pick off enemies from windows or head around the sides to spot. While Arties may struggle, they can still perform well when aiming down the main sightlines.

This is a small victory for other tanks, as it gives them some relief from the sky bombardments they experience on other maps. For many players, Himmelsdorf is considered one of the best maps due to the nostalgia attached to it. After all, new tanker progressing through the early tiers will remember Himmelsdorf as a map they experienced countless times.

When considering what are the best maps in World of Tanks, a lot of subjectivity comes into play, with some people hating a map that others deem to be pure perfection. From our polling of the community, the maps on this list were mentioned most frequently, and we would tend to agree.

However, if you see a map on this list you don’t like, let us know why! Also be sure to leave a comment about what map (or maps) you think are the best in World of Tanks.
