T-54 First Prototype
The T-54 First Prototype is pretty underwhelming in all regards. There’s nothing special about its mobility, its firepower is mediocre in all regards, the gun depression is ‘meh’, etc.
That is, of course, apart from the armor. Utilising the hull of the Tier 9 T-54, the First Prototype sports superior armor values than many Heavies of its Tier. The upper plate armor exceeds 220mm effective thickness when properly angled, and the turret is very workable too. Keep your eyes open for Patch 9.20, though – the T-54 First Prototype is receiving a lot of significant buffs to its firepower and armor profile.
These strengths make the First Prototype one of the most forgiving, ‘idiot-proof’ Medium Tanks in the game.
