Everything We Know About Star Wars Battlefront 2

A comprehensive look at how DICE is making the sequel even better.

More In-Depth Hero Customization

While Star Wars Battlefront included a wide range of iconic heroes to play as, there was no way for players to make them feel unique either in terms of gameplay or visuals. Fortunately, heroes are getting a major overhaul in Battlefront 2. Not only is DICE changing how players earn the ability to play as heroes (building up a gauge through gameplay as opposed to finding a power-up), but they’ll also be able to customize heroes when not actively playing a match, unlocking and upgrading skills, and even selecting different outfits for them.

We already know that those who pre-order Battlefront 2 will get exclusive outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey which are based off their looks in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film, and it seems like a safe bet to assume that other heroes like Luke Skywalker and Darth Maul will have multiple outfits to choose from as well. While we don’t know just how in-depth the hero customization will be as of right now, it’s still good to know that there will be customization period, especially given how much heroes will likely influence both the game’s story campaign and multiplayer mode.
