Rainbow Six Siege takes the iconic hostage situation from Counter-Strike and adds the dynamic ingredient of destructible walls and ceilings. Each and every map is excruciatingly quiet... until it isn’t.
At the start of each round, the terrorists need to secure their location while the counter-terrorists send in their drones and search for the target. What follows is a game of cat and mouse, peek and shoot, sneak and eliminate, where one wrong move can end your life in an instant.
Each player takes on the role of an Operator, all of whom come with their own unique skills. Some might be able to reinforce walls, while others drop medical kits or armor. Building your team and ensuring you have a player focused on each part of the mission is vital to your success.
In the end, all of your planning will either aid or hinder you in the resulting standoff. This is because the counter-terrorists will eventually find the room you’re hunkered down in, then everything falls deathly silent. In this moment, the entire game is balanced on a knife’s edge. Will the counter-terrorists rush in after flash grenades, or will a terrorist blast through a wall with a shotgun and take out the rescue team? In Rainbow Six Siege, how the round ends is totally up to you.
