Prey - How to Get into the Security Station

Initially, the Security Station is locked, but there’s an easy way to get inside.

This guide will show players how to get into Security Station just off the Talos I Lobby in Prey. This method does not require a Keycard, although we’ll happily show you where to find that as well.

Hop up on this yellow pipe and follow it, gaining access to the Security Station in Prey.

As you move from the Talos I Lobby to the hallway that leads to the Security Station, there will be a large yellow pipe that sits on the left wall. Use your GLOO Cannon to build a makeshift set of steps to get on the pipe, then follow it the length of the hallway. Turn right when you hit a dead end and you’ll find yourself in a maintenance shaft. Follow that and drop into the Security Station.

You can now open the Security Station door from the inside, meaning you’ll never need a Keycard again. However, if you still want to find the Security Station Keycard, it is on Level 2, inside the I.T. Security room just off the Talos I Lobby. You can smash the window out of Morgan Yu’s office and drop onto a ledge that will take you to the I.T. Security door, or you can go up the stairs on the opposite side of the Talos I Lobby.

Either way, you’ll need Hacking 1, or the code, which is 0193. Once inside the Security Station, you’ll find what might be your first Shotgun in Prey, as well as the Security Station Safe, and a Holding Room. You can access the Holding Room using 1129 as the code, but be careful of the surprise that’s waiting for you on the other side of the door. It’s not too bad, but could cause a jump scare if you’re not paying attention.

There's a stack of Neuromods in this briefcase, tucked behind the desk in the Security Station.

If you move into the room with the main Security Station door, you will see a phone on the wall next to the desk. If you walk up to that phone and look right (between the wall and the desk) you’ll see a briefcase that has some Neuromods inside. These are quite helpful, and will get you rolling through your first few hours of Prey.

You should now have no trouble getting into the Security Station in Prey, but do you know the location of the Neuromod Fabrication Plan?
