Best British Tank Lines in World of Tanks

Learn about some of the best British tank lines you can play in World of Tanks.

British Heavy Tank Line

The British Heavy tank line is extremely popular among all sorts of World of Tanks players, from the humble noob to the veteran tanker. Lying in wait at Tier 10 is the FV215b, an excellent Heavy tank that is—according to wotinfo.net—currently performing better than its USA counterparts.

With a mixture of impressive armor, fast speeds, and high damage weapons, there's a Heavy tank for everyone's playstyle in this British tank line.

While the British Heavy tank line starts at Tier 5, working your way to that level will be enjoyable thanks to the sturdiness of the Medium’s preceding it. The Matilda, though a Medium, is a tank that offers excellent armor and an alarming rate of fire.

At Tier 5, the Churchill I introduces you to the British Heavy tank line, and offers robust armor and a lot of hitpoints. When angled correctly, this British heavy can bounce its fair share of Tier 7 shots. Just be warned, this tank is practically all track, meaning you should take the time to learn when to use consumables so you aren’t wasting credits.

After grinding out the Black Prince, tankers are rewarded with the Caernarvon, a Tier 8 Heavy tank that, despite its flaws, is still an appealing vehicle. Though the armor is thinner than the Black Prince, the Caernarvon has faster speeds, greater mobility, a gun with great aim time, accuracy and rate of fire. Ultimately, the Caernarvon can be used well in a hull down position or at range.

Finally, the FV215b takes what the Caernarvon does and makes some small adjustments and improvements. Though it still lacks armor, the FV215b makes up for this with an extremely powerful array of weaponry, with the top gun sporting HESH rounds. The FV215b is best played as a support Heavy, getting into and out of position with its speed, supporting teammates wherever they are.
