Injustice 2 - How to Clash

Learn how to perform a Clash to save yourself in Injustice 2.

If you’re new to the Injustice series, you may not be familiar with how to Clash in Injustice 2. With the right timing, performing a Clash move can help get a player out of a tough situation. For this guide, we’ll explain how to clash in Injustice 2 so that you can know when and how to save yourself with just a few button presses.

Preparing to Clash

In order to perform a Clash in Injustice 2, you must first know what conditions need to be met before this move can be achieved.

First, you can only perform a Clash when on your second health bar. This is the red health bar in Injustice 2, not the grey one. Next, your opponent must successfully hit you while you’re on your second health bar.

If you block their attack, or if you’re still on the first grey health bar, then you won’t be able to perform a Clash. Keep an eye on your opponent’s health bar as well, as they can initiate a Clash if the above two conditions are met.

How to Clash

Make your Clash wager using the button prompts above the super meter.

When you have the right conditions to Clash, performing the Clash move is relatively simple. All you need to do is hold down the Meter Burn button (this is R2 on PS4 and RT on Xbox One), and then press Forward using the D-Pad or analog stick. Holding Meter Burn and moving Forward will perform a Clash maneuver.

Once you initiate a Clash in Injustice 2, you must then determine how much of your Super Meter you want to wager. Using the button prompts, you can indicate whether you wish to offer a quarter, three-quarters, one-half, or all of your Super Meter. You can only offer up as much Super Meter as you have acquired at the time of the Clash.

Your opponent will also make a wager on how much Super Meter to offer. Whoever wages the most wins the bargain. If the player initiating the Clash wins, they’ll regenerate some heath. If the other player who didn’t start the Clash wins, they will attack and damage their opponent instead. Act quick, because you only have a few seconds to make your wager.

The amount of health you get back or damage dealt depends on the amount the winning player wagered during the Clash. The more you wager, the more health or damage you stand to receive or deliver, respectively. If you’re low on health and decide to initiate a Clash, then you should wager as much of your Super Meter as you have available to benefit more from the deal if you win.

Now that you know how to Clash in Injustice 2, you will be prepared to save yourself or severely injure your opponent when the time is right.
