Bloodborne
You probably guessed this one was coming since it’s kind of hard to list off PlayStation 4 games that deserve sequels without mentioning From Software’s gothic PS4-exclusive masterpiece Bloodborne. Fans of From’s games were understandably a little worried when the studio first announced it was taking a brief respite from its Dark Souls franchise to create an entirely new IP for the PS4, but when Bloodborne was fully revealed, those worries evaporated pretty quickly.
Those who played Bloodborne weren’t disappointed either, as they found a game which still contained the core DNA of the Souls franchise along with a unique horror-themed setting and specific gameplay elements which made it feel very much like its own beast.
Now that From Software is officially done with the Souls franchise (at least for now), a return to Bloodborne’s unique world of Yharnam would certainly be on our list of dream projects we’d like to see from the studio at some point. Bloodborne remains to this day as one of the definitive PlayStation 4 titles that, honestly, every PS4 user should at least play at some point if not own outright, and if there’s one PS4 game that absolutely deserves a sequel, Bloodborne is it.
