5 Best Tanks for Ramming

High speed and lots of armor make these tanks ramming monsters.

KV-5

Finally, the Soviet Union’s KV-5 brings this list of best tanks for ramming to a close. Though it’s not often available for purchase in the Premium Shop, those who own a KV-5 can vouch for this Tier 8 Premium tank’s ability to ram.

The KV-5 offers speed, weight, and armor, the perfect trifecta require for the ultimate ramming tank.

Tier 8 Premium tanks are often the best tanks to farm credits in World of Tanks, as they have low ammo costs and have increased gains. But for the KV-5, simply ramming other vehicles – instead of shooting – makes it extremely fun to play.

The KV-5 boasts ridiculous amounts of health, totalling 1,780 hit points. It weighs upwards of 100 tonnes, can reach a top speed of 40 km/h, and has a whopping 180 mm of hull and turret armor! Even if another player manages to ram you in the side, they need to contend with 150 mm of armor, and even 140 mm at the rear.

Unfortunately, the acceleration of the KV-5 is a glaring weak point, so you will need some extra space to get up to speed. However, in the event you find yourself at the top of a hill with enemies below, hold on tight, shoot them in the face, zoom down the hill, and smash into them with the full force of the USSR. If you haven’t blown them to bits, shoot them again.

Ramming another tank in World of Tanks is a classic “Hail Mary” situation where you give it a last-ditched effort to win. In some cases, you will blast through the enemy as their burning wreck tumbles away from you. There are things you can do to improve your chances of successfully ramming an enemy to death: train the Controlled Impact Skill, purchase the Spall Liner Equipment, and use one of the best tanks for ramming in World of Tanks.
