PlayStation Experience 2017
Gamers have argued that if the PS5 was coming in 2018, Sony would have unveiled it at their E3 2017 press conference, but I think they’re wrong. Why would Sony spill the beans on all the good stuff they have coming during E3, when they hold their very own event, PlayStation Experience?
This year, the PlayStation Experience will be held December 9th to 10th, which is far too late for Sony to announce any Q4 release dates for games. However, it would make sense that if the PS5 is coming in 2018, and it’s admittedly a big if, they would announce it at PlayStation Experience and not E3. It’s a first-party event, and the timeline would work for a second half of 2018 release, just like Damian Thong predicted.
