7 Reasons the PS5 is Coming in 2018

Why Rockstar is the real winner if the PS5 drops in 2018.

Because Red Dead Redemption 2

If I’m going to make a completely circumstantial list about why the PS5 is coming in 2018, I’m not going to make the mistake of taking myself too seriously. It would make me look like a fool, and it would be treating anyone reading this like an idiot. Since none of us need help looking like fools, take this last reason the PS5 is coming in 2018 as a joke that would be even more hilarious if it turned out to be true.

Grand Theft Auto V released on September 17th, 2013, and the PS4 released on November 15th, 2013, just two short months later. Rockstar spent years developing Grand Theft Auto V, only to have it release on consoles that were obsolete 60 days later.

With Red Dead Redemption 2 scheduled to hit in Q2 (April to June) of 2018, it would be kind of hilarious if the PS5 came out a few months later. Of course, this would mean that all of us would fork out the $80 for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4, only to have to do it all over again on the PS5 in Q4 2018. Actually, now that I think about it, perhaps the folks at Rockstar really are geniuses, and we really are fools.
