God of War

Kratos will be making a massive return in 2018, with the last ever God of War. The game will be a soft reboot to the series, set in the world of Norse mythology, whereas all of the other games were based on Greek mythology. That isn't the only major change coming to the game though, as this time you'll be accompanied by Katros' son, Atreus. Atreus will play a key role during battles, as he'll be able to assist Kratos with his bow by shooting lighting arrows. Over the course of the game, Atreus helps in combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving, as well as being able to talk to some of the creatures that roam the lands.

Kratos will also be giving up his iconic double-changed blades in this installment, replacing them with a magic battle axe. The battle axe was shown in both the E3 2016 and 2017 trailers. The trailers showed that the axe can be engulfed in ice, which Kratos can hurl at an enemy and magically summon back to his hand. Kratos will also be able to charge the axe and let out a burst of energy that will damage nearby enemies.

God of War is set to release in Q1 2018.
