Team EnVy Knocks Ghost Gaming Down to Losers

The returning champs are finding their form at CWL 2017.

Hardpoint was a close affair until EnVy's pinches earned a few full 60 hills. Apathy was hanging around double positive for most of the set, and JKap's flanks were too much for Ghost to handle. Spacely grabbed a big two piece to prevent EnVy from running away with it, and Ghost almost earned three payloads to steal the set. But slaying from Apathy sealed the deal for EnVy to go up 1-0 by a score of 250-228.

EnVy carried the momentum into S&D, taking the first 3 rounds and wasting Llamagod's impressive 1v3 clutch attempts, who should be expecting a bit more help from his Ghost teammates.

The fans in attendance were then amused by technical difficulties, applauding as the caster feed lost connection to the server. The brief technical delay did not slow down Team EnVy, who quickly raced out to a 5-0 lead.

Ghost gaming finally showed some life, grabbing the next 2 rounds before EnVy easily closed out S&D by a 6-2 scoreline.

Uplink on Throwback would prove to be the closest set of the match, but Slasher's 30 kills put EnVy over the top to complete the impressive 3-0 sweep.
