OpTic Destroys a Disappointing FaZe

A flawless Karma leads OpTic over FaZe in dominating fashion.

OpTic showed everyone why they are favorites to win this tournament with a destruction of FaZe on map 1 Hardpoint. FaZe was not close at any point and fell 250 - 82. Crimsix put up a gaudy 20 kills with only 8 deaths, calmly dealing with any FaZe attempt at a comeback. FaZe picked up Gunless for moments like this, but he struggled, going 8-18.

It only got worse for FaZe on S&D, with OpTic putting on a champions clinic. In one of the quickest S&D matches in recent memory, OpTic won 6 straight to easily go up 2 - 0. Karma was a perfect 10 - 0 in one of the least competitive Search and Destroys of the weekend.

Crimsix kicked off Uplink on a four streak, but could only manage a one point throw to start the scoring. FaZe finally showed some life, picking up a dunk for a 2-1 lead thanks to straight shooting from Enable. The hot spell from FaZe led to a few score streaks, and they used them to pick up another dunk for a 4-1 score line.

OpTic woke up to retake the lead 5 -4. Play continued on with FaZe never quite looking strong enough to challenge FormaL's NV4 play was holding down every lane, and Karma popped camo for an easy dunk to put the score out of reach, finishing off FaZe 8 - 4.

Next up for OpTic Gaming is a match with EnVy for a spot in the Grand Final. Check out Tank War Room's Call of Duty 2017 World Championship hub for full coverage of Championship Sunday.
