5 Tips from an Elite World of Tanks Player

Take the first steps to becoming a Unicum.

Use your Minimap!

One of the 7 Things Players don’t know about World of Tanks, is of course the fact that we have a Minimap. I’ve already mentioned how important situational awareness is, and the Minimap is the ultimate tool for that. When I say “use your Minimap” I don’t mean acknowledge the fact that it exists in the bottom right corner of your screen, I mean actually read and utilise it.

If there’s a red icon (or a few) moving towards your little icon, that’s probably something you should take note of unless you enjoy a sizeable chunk of steel being removed from the rear of your tank. Are there friendly icons around your position? No? Then I’d recommend going to socialise and find some friends… preferably sooner rather than later, before the overwhelming enemy force also realises you have no friends.

The Minimap is also vitally important when utilising Spotting Range mechanics.

That’s about it for my Top 5 Tips for things that either aren’t mentioned, or aren’t talked about in enough detail. The little things can really make a huge impact on your performance in game. What tips would you give another player that you’ve found in your time playing World of Tanks?
