The Blu-Ray disc first hit homes in 2003, but found more traction in 2006 with the PS3. These little discs were able to hold a whopping 25GB of data when only using single-layer technology, but now these can reach anywhere from 50GB all the way up to 120GB.

While Microsoft was still slinging DVDs on the Xbox 360, sometimes with two or even four-disc games, Sony was laughing all the way to the bank with the PS3 and its Blu-Ray discs.
