7 Best Tank Destroyers in World of Tanks

Discover the best choices for when you want to pack a punch.

Stridsvagn 103B

The newest Tank Destroyer addition to the game, until Update 9.20 hits the live server that is.

The Strv 103B is undeniably powerful, but situationally so. Unfortunately, the non-existent gun traverse and elevation arcs mean the Strv struggles heavily in brawling situations, especially when working a corner. Due to the delay between the transition into both Siege Mode and Travel Mode this issue if furthered, as well as being problematic when having to suddenly react to a fast-moving target. Another issue with the Strv is the fact that it entirely relies on angling rather than nominal thickness – someone who understands Overmatch Mechanics in the correct tank can consistently punch through its armor as if it’s nothing.

Of course, having such a low nominal armor thickness has its advantages too, namely the fact that it cuts down on weight massively, keeping mobility as high as possible. Combine this with the obscene camouflage rating, excellent dispersion statistics while in Siege Mode, and very expansive gun traverse arcs while in Siege, and you have a very capable tank while sniping out of sight. Alternatively, if there’s a hill or ridgeline somewhere nearby you can opt for that, and use your second-best-in-game DPM to shred your opponents while minimizing exposure.

That rounds off my list of the 7 Best TD’ World of Tanks has to offer. Were there any TD’s that would have made your list which I didn’t include?
