Top 7 Autoloaders in World of Tanks

If you’re looking for burst damage, you’ve come to the right place.

Lorraine 40 t

Next up we have a blast from the past, the Lorr 40 t. Previously a Tier 9 Medium Tank replacing the BC-25 t AP, the Lorr made a return as a Premium vehicle down at Tier 8 in recent times. It stays quite true to the original, except rebalanced according to the Tier difference. The gun is identical to that of the AMX 50 100, but receives significantly improved gun handling statistics. As a trade-off, the magazine size drops from 6 shells to 4, and the reload speed is adjusted as such.

Still comparing it to the AMX 50 100, the Lorr is also the clear winner in straight-line mobility, whereas effective traverse speeds are handed over to the 50 100 by a large margin. Neither Tank has any armor to speak of, so your preference should be based on whether you want a more consistent gun, or a gun with a higher clip potential – 1800 as opposed to 1200.

Personally, I rate the Lorr over the 50 100 due to its variant of the 100mm main armament. Most of the time you’re forced to reload without expending the entire magazine in an autoloader for one reason or another, meaning a shorter reload is far more beneficial than a higher clip potential. This is especially the case considering the Lorr’s gun handling is better, and it can therefore place shots far more accurately than the AMX can.
