SU-122-44
The IS without a turret. Okay, that name doesn’t do it justice considering it’s one of the best TD’s in the game, but it paints what you can expect quite well. Imagine an IS that sacrifices some of the flexibility it has with its turret and health pool, in exchange for just a completely ridiculous gun. You’re left with the SU-122-44.
Before we say anything else; 390 alpha damage, 3050 base DPM, Tier 7. That should tell you absolutely everything you need to know about why you’d ever want to play the SU-122-44. Its damage output potential is greater than the majority of Tier 10 Medium Tanks, despite only being a Tier 7. The alpha damage is frankly brutal for its Tier.
Finally, unlike some of its competitors, the SU-122-44 has a decent amount of armor to fend off equal and lower Tier Mediums, as well as substantial mobility thanks to its very high top speed of 47.5 km/h, the IS-like hull traverse speeds, and its power-to-weight. All in all, the SU makes for a brutally effective Tank destroyer, and great fun.
