Destiny's Latest Secret is Here

Could this thing in the Tower be linked to a secret?

Figuring out how to get to Vault of Glass’ Throne Room from Patrol. Cracking the code needed to unlock the Outbreak Prime. Players attempting to solve the case of the sixth chest. These are just a few of the many secrets hidden deep within Destiny, and the lengths that players will go to in an attempt to find them.

The most recent secret, or Easter Egg, depending on your own opinion, has been discovered in Destiny 2. In the Tower, over near Cayde-6 in the Hanger is a sign that reads “Site Safety, days since last accident”, and it has a little clicker. For every day that passes without an accident, another digit is added to the tally.

In the video above, you can see that for an entire day, no accidents occurred, that is until ItzBrittanyBitxh “accidentally” slips off the edge of the Hanger to her doom.

Suffice it to say, the RaidSecrets community is blowing up over this discovery. While Bungie are adding more fun things to do in Destiny 2, such as the Sentry 4 puzzle on the Farm, they also tend to add little things you would otherwise miss, and these little things can sometimes lead to big things.

So far, it’s all just a lot of speculation and theorizing. One problem the community wants to know is whether the counter is server side or client side, and depending on which it is, will affect how players might be able to extend this number. The goal at the moment is to see if players can get this digit to “7” – Bungie’s favorite number.

However, getting the community together to wait seven days without any deaths in the Tower would be quite a challenge. Between new players falling to their death and trolls looking to break a streak, it’s probably extremely unlikely that the counter will ever hit two days without any accidents, let alone seven days straight.

Then again, the Destiny community are known for their incredible feats, so this one might be possible.
